Started in the Summer of 2008, a non-profit California corporation composed of volunteers and enthusiasts promoting electric and plugin hybrid vehicles. You may contact us by email at info@4evriders.org.

On February 13, 2009 4EVRiders.org received its determination from the IRS, and we became an official 501(c)(3) public benefit organization.

Mission Statement: Provide timely unbiased news and internet-enabled related services updated daily to inform the public about the latest developments in the Electric Vehicle and Plug-In Hybrid Market.

    Director Biography
  • Susan M. Yoder, Chairperson of the Board

    Susan Yoder has worked in the information industry for over 25 years, both with non-profit and for-profit organizations. Her corporate and consulting experience spans executive management, strategic business planning, product development, marketing and production. She has a law degree from the University of Cincinnati and a B.A. in music from Hanover College.

    She has worked with several non-profit organizations involved in electronic dissemination of information. She was Director of Product Management and a member of the Senior Management Team at RLG, a not-for-profit international membership corporation of over 160 universities, national libraries, archives, historical societies, museums and research institutions, dedicated to enhancing electronic access to research materials. During her tenure there, she developed and managed online research services for academic and scholarly communities. She also worked with a wide variety of libraries as a Director of Product Management at OCLC, a not-for-profit, computer library service and research organization.

    Her for-profit experience includes various positions with a number of business, news and legal information companies. She was a Vice President and General Manager at Information Access Company (incorporated into Thomson International), working on strategic development of a new product line. She held the positions of Senior Director of Marketing and Director of Legal, Government and Academic Markets at Dialog (formerly Knight-Ridder Information, now a Thomson International company). At Lexis-Nexis (a Reed-Elsevier company), she was Manager of License and Court Relations, Database Operations, and Legal Research. As Managing Partner and Member of the Board of Directors, she co-founded and directed an educational services company (EduCom, Inc.) that provided tutoring and psychological testing to clients.

    Her involvement with 4EVRiders.org stems from a deep interest in, and commitment to, sustainability issues. From new studies in sustainable business, agriculture and transportation to the growing simplicity movements, it is critical for our global environment that we develop lifestyles and tools that increase the health of our society and our world. 4EVRiders.org is an important step in informing and helping people make wise choices about what they can do as individuals in this exciting communal

  • David B Lo – President, Founder and Board member

    Experienced manager specializing in Ecommerce, software engineering and project management. More than 25 years in related disciplines working for various high tech firms such as Vicinity Corp (acquired by Microsoft), HP, Informix, DHL, Amdahl, Ingres, Boeing, and Control Data as Application development manager, Ecommerce project manager, Sr Oracle DBA, Technical Lead and Software Engineer. Broad mix of diverse managerial and technical skills.

    Education: MBA (Management and Entrepreneurship) 1993 CSUEB, Hayward, CA;, MS 1976 University of Washington, Seattle; BA 1973 Buffalo State College, Buffalo, NY.

  • Joshua Weinstein – Acting VP of Engineering

    Josh Weinstein has over 10 years experience in Web and Internet applications. He has worked in development, product management, quality control, and marketing efforts for several California companies, including Borland International, Mentor Technology Group, and Vicinity Corporation (which was bought by Microsoft Mappoint™ for $96 Million USD). He worked in Silicon Valley on projects for clients in the automotive, banking, health-care, high-tech, hospitality, insurance, and retail sectors, including Wells Fargo Bank, Ford Motor Company, Toyota, Lexus, Yahoo!, Seagate, and Starbucks. He has taught “Silicon Valley” style programming and management to Graduate and Undergraduate Software Engineering students and has natural talent for spotting global trends. He learned HTML in 1994, moved to Silicon Valley in 1996, before the rest of the world caught “Silicon Valley” mania, and moved to China is 2002, before the the rest of the world caught “China mania”. He is currently employed by an American Automotive Services Company which is attempting to break into the Chinese Market.
