Who’s Dating Whom In The Red-Hot Market For Self-Driving Cars | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis – IBD

Autonomous driving is too complicated and too important to do it yourself. At least that’s the logic behind automakers and technology firms such as General Motors (GM), Alphabet (GOOGL) and Intel (INTC) that are carpooling their self-driving efforts in one or more alliances. Tesla (TSLA) continues to forge its own path, however, while no one is sure what Apple (AAPL) plans to do.

Over the weekend, Alphabet’s autonomous driving subsidiary Waymo teamed up with Lyft. On Tuesday, BMW Group, Intel (INTC) and Mobileye(MBLY) announced Tuesday that they will partner with Delphi Automotive(DLPH) to bring autonomous driving solutions to multiple automakers.
