USA: Key Electric Car Incentive On The Chopping Block — Act Now

I wrote approximately one month ago about a threat to one of Georgia’s key electric car incentives, which could throw a big roadblock into one of the hottest electric car markets in the US — Hotlanta (aka Atlanta). Unfortunately, the story has taken a turn for the worse. The Georgia House has passed a bill, House Bill 257, to eliminate the state EV tax credit, which would go into effect July 1 if passed by the Senate.

If you want to help this key EV market and the EV industry as a whole, reach out to some Georgia state senators and use your awareness of the many benefits of electric cars in order to keep electric cars rolling off of Georgia lots.

As just one benefit, Clean Cities-Georgia executive director Don Francis states: “Each electric vehicle, we estimate, keeps $2,400 a year in Georgia which normally would have flowed out to other states like Louisiana and Texas to buy gasoline or diesel.”
