Taking on Tesla: GoE3 electric car charging network aims to rival Elon Musk’s Superchargers |

The Supercharger stations that Tesla Motors are rapidly installing across the US are revolutionising electric mobility.

Capable of recharging an electric car with 150 miles of range in less than half an hour, they are free to use as well as being conveniently located next to amenities such as shopping malls and restaurants.

Even in its current embryonic form, the network has already been used to quickly drive across the the US in couple of instances, so effective are the Superchargers.

These stations are, however, exclusive to Tesla owners – a club with a current buy-in of $63,570 for the least expensive Model S. So what are other electric car owners supposed to do?
