WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 3, 2014) – More than 10,000 business, government and research leaders will gather in the birthplace of America’s auto industry – Detroit, Michigan – from September 7 – 11, 2014 to showcase the latest transportation innovations and share ideas and strategies for modernizing transportation at the 21st World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who will serve as Chair of the World Congress Honorary Committee, said Detroit is the logical choice to host the world’s transportation leaders. “When you come to the Motor City, you’ll discover a world rich in automotive history and immersed in the technologies that will define the future of transportation,” he said. “The automotive industry began here and intelligent transportation will continue here. That’s why we’re so excited to host the ITS World Congress.”
