Tesla owner William Stonehill of Granger told the South Bend Tribune (http://bit.ly/18WeIjm ) he doesn’t expect to use the Mishawaka station, but its opening shows his car is becoming one he can take on longer trips.

Tesla spokeswoman Alexis Georgeson said stations will be in place this year so the cars can be driven between New York and Los Angeles.
