ChargePoint Commends States on Monumental MOU Zero Emission Agreement; Will Accelerate Electric Vehicle Adoption

CAMPBELL, CA – Pasquale Romano, CEO of ChargePoint – the company that built the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network – released the following statement today on the signing of a memorandum of understanding between eight states (California, Oregon, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts and Vermont) to accelerate sales of zero-emission vehicles:

“These eight states are leading the way and transforming the EV industry. This historic agreement will not only help our environment, but it will also improve our economy, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and improve the lives of all Americans. As we begin to see mass adoption and sales of electric vehicles, it is also imperative that we build the charging infrastructure to support these drivers. ChargePoint, as the largest and most open EV charging network in the world, stands ready to expand and support the 3.3 million vehicles that will come as a result of this MOU.”
