Renault Twin’Z electric concept for London debut |

Developed in association with British designer, Ross Lovegrove this one-off, fully electric city car concept will make its first UK appearance at the Design Museum in London’s Shad Thames, close to Tower Bridge.
UK first
It will be the first time the car has been seen since its unveiling at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano; the flagship of the design industry’s annual calendar.
Just 3.62 metres long (a bit shorter than a Toyota Yaris), the Twin’Z uses the electric car know-how that Renault has already perfected through its production electric vehicles, like the ZOE. Using the same drivetrain technology, the model is fitted with a synchronous electric motor, for a top speed of 81mph and a range of around 100mph.
Sitting squarely on 18” wheels, the model is described as having a robust road presence despite its small size. The grille design is optimised for better aerodynamics and the front and rear doors are hinged at the front and rear respectively and open electrically. With no central pillar, the whole cabin becomes very easy to access. Excellent cabin space is retained by stowing the batteries beneath the floor and the electric motor at the rear.
