Corby gets ready for electric cars with new charging stations |

The small Northamptonshire town of Corby is taking a lead in electrifying the UK with a new network of charging stations at a range of businesses and venues across the town.
Part of the Electric Corby scheme established by the town’s council and Cenex, 21 new charging stations will be installed across the borough including at the Holiday Inn, Adrenaline Alley and Corby Town Football Club. At least one of the charging stations will be a rapid charger, which can charge an electric car in as little as 30 minutes.
These points join existing charging locations already installed at the Corby train station and Corby Cube with full details of the new network available at the Rockingham Motor circuit this weekend, as part of an official launch. Rockingham itself already has four charging stations for use by both members of the public and tech firms or carmakers using the facilities to test new EVs.
