The age of the plug-in vehicle must be here because there is an official weekend to celebrate it.

Tens of thousands of people in more than 90 cities will be celebrating the third annual National Plug-In Day this weekend. It is the largest celebration in the nascent industry’s life and will be an opportunity for early adopters of electric vehicles to congratulate themselves on pacing a new trend in automotive history.

“Our aim is to raise awareness of this affordability and the many other benefits of EVs,” says Richard Kelly, President of Plug-in America, a California-based group of EV advocates.
