Tesla Motors to open two Supercharger stations along I-70 corridor

Tesla Motors, the California maker of the Model S electric sedan, this week will open the first Supercharger stations in Colorado along the key Interstate 70 corridor.

The Superchargers are at Glenwood Springs and Silverthorne along I-70, and both will be available for use Thursday.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx is the latest Washington official to pay a visit to Detroit.

Foxx toured facilities from all of the Big Three car makers last week and met with officials, the Detroit News reports.

In Dearborn Michigan, Foxx drove a blue Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid around a test track, and met with Ford president of the Americas John Hinrichs.
