USA: EV Information Center Begins Serving Connecticut Customers Today

Beginning today, CL&P is providing its business and residential customers with a new source of information about electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging technology. The company is opening an electric vehicle information center in Windsor.

“CL&P is providing a single point of contact for our customers and communities, making it easy for them to find the answers they need to make informed decisions about electric vehicles,” said Penni Conner, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer. The electric vehicle information center hotline, 855-INFO4EV (463-6438), is staffed by a team of specialists Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The company also created a website where customers can access a variety of information, tools and resources regarding electric vehicles and charging technology: http://cl-p.plugmyride.org.

The information center team has been answering questions and providing information to NSTAR customers in eastern Massachusetts since March. Plans are under way to make this information available to WMECo and PSNH customers by the end of this year.
