10 Electric vehicle charging stations come to Denver International Airport this fall

DENVER – Drivers of plug-in electric vehicles will soon be able to charge up at one of the 10 new electric charging stations in the east and west parking garages at the Denver International Airport.

The stations will be free to customers who pay to park in the garages and will be installed sometime this fall. The chargers are compatible with most electric and plug-in hybrid cars such as, the Chevy Volt, the Nissan Leaf and the plug-in version of the Toyota Prius.

Denver’s Manager of Aviation, Kim Day stated there has been an increase in the number of customers who drive electric vehicles to the airport and plug them into existing outlets in the garages. The new charging stations are more convenient, safer and aimed to work specifically with electric and plug-in cars.
