Rhode Island has awarded a contract to install a network of electric vehicle charging stations statewide to ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations.
“The unveiling is a celebration of a public/private partnership to provide EV charging station infrastructure throughout Rhode Island,” reads the announcement. “ChargePoint and National Grid will deploy more than 50 EV charging stations throughout Rhode Island through a statewide grant.”
Gov. Lincoln Chafee will officially announce the contract on Tuesday, June 18, at Roger Williams University in Bristol.
ChargePoint Chairman Pat Romano will be present, along with Roger Williams University President Donald J. Farish, National Grid vice president Edward White, Project Get Ready Rhode Island coordinator Al Dahlberg, and Ocean State Clean Cities Coalition coordinator Wendy Lucht.
ChargePoint is a unit of Campbell, Calif.-based Coulomb Technologies.
