OHS Built Electric Car Enters Competition

OSWEGO, NY – Oswego High School was well-represented at the “Electrathon Challenge” at Watkins Glen International Speedway.

Teacher Matt Bock brought his Engineering, Development and Design class on a road trip to display their recently completed electric vehicle.

Bock said, “The ‘Electrathon Challenge’ is a marathon style race that is designed to build awareness of electric vehicles. The challenge lasts 60 minutes and the winner is determined by the team that completes the most laps in that time. Safety also is measured as all teams much adhere to strict vehicle designs as well.”

The safety measures ensure fair and safe racing.
