The Vice-President of Sun Country Highway keeps his eye on the road, and his mind on the future.

From its humble origins in Brucefield, the firm, which has developed charging station technology for electric vehicles, now operates from four regional offices across Canada.

Christopher Misch works out of the London office, and its his aim to bring a network of EV charging stations throughout the length and breadth of the Bluewater Highway.

Misch visited Goderich Council recently to cement plans for a charging station in Goderich.

Under the current Sun Country plan, electric vehicles will be charged up at municipal expense.

Each charge takes about three hours to transfer to the car battery, and visitors will be able to spend that time getting acquainted or shopping in the local community.

He says there’s already a network of charging stations in the region, and Misch is hoping to put one in Kincardine in the near future.
