USA: [BayLEAFs Announce] May SF BayLEAFs Meeting

Join us for a very full morning on May 11th at the Santa Clara Central Park Library. This meeting will include a very special event that takes place during our normal tailgate party–Jamie Matthews, the Mayor of Santa Clara, will be dedicating the new DC Quick Charging station that is on site. The Library has opened the event to the public as a way to raise awareness of Electric Vehicles in the city. This is another opportunity for SF BayLEAFs, EAA and PIA members to show off our cars and answer questions. In addition to the mayor’s dedication, Silicon Valley Power will also provide some remarks. Librarian Mary Boyle has requested a display of current and future EV’s of all types, and that some drivers be available to answer questions from the general public.
Following the dedication ceremonies, we will move inside to the library for our May meeting. The agenda is very full, including presentations by Central Park Librarian Mary Boyle, PG&E’s Electric Vehicle Representative Paul Carreon, and BAAQMD Program Manager Karen Schkolnick. They will all provide updates on their agencies’ plans for Electric Vehicles and Infrastructure. At Noon we adjourn to the parking lot for further discussions and upgrade clinics–if you would like to have one of the upgrade maintenance items done on your LEAF, please send an email to in advance of the meeting.

The timeline is as follows:
8:45 AM: Arrival of cars wishing to be displayed (all makes/models welcomed)
9:00: Tailgating
9:15: Charger Dedication Ceremonies
10:00: Monthly meeting
12:00: Adjourn to parking lot (further discussions, clinics, etc.)
