Mercer University is offering electric car owners a chance to charge up their vehicles.
Workers from Hannah Solar and Worry Free Power are installing two new electric vehicle charging stations at Mercer University campus this week.
One of the charging stations will be located at Mercer’s Emily Parker Myers Admissions and Welcome Center.
Drivers can find the other charging station in the parking lot of Mercer Village.
Each station has the capacity to charge two vehicles.
The new charging stations are set to appear on the smart phone apps and GPS systems of electric car owners who plan trips through and to Macon by the end of the week.
The stations are the first along Interstate 75 in Macon and the first to be placed in a retail area in Macon.
