Ghosn Visits Norway, says Leaf Being Used as Daily Driver – autoevolution

The Nissan Leaf might have been designed and built in Japan, but it’s the European country of Norway that became its second home.

Yesterday, we told you how the EV grabbed 1.7% of the total Norwegian car market, also being the second best-selling Nissan on the market. Nissan President and CEO Carlos Ghosn was in Olso at the time of the announcement and make some declarations of his own.

“The momentum is building around electric cars,” said Mr. Ghosn, referring to the increased sales, which amounted to 1,300 in Europe and 2,200 in the US during March alone.

Customer feedback has reportedly been overwhelmingly positive, according to Nissan, which will convince other people to buy it. Ghosn says that more than 90 percent drive their LEAF every day, and 93 percent of European customers come from other brands.
