Electric Car Market on the Rise: New Version Nissan Leaf hits UK Market

New version of Nissan Leaf hits the UK market Nissan, Japanese car-maker presented Nissan Leaf – its electric car competing with Ford’s Focus. Looking under the bonnet of the Nissan Leaf, one will find that the electric car’s engine seems just like a usual car, less the oily dirt.

The latest version of the Leaf was delivered to showrooms this month, being the first electric car to be made in Britain. This increased the range of alternative-fuel cars available in the UK to 36.

The centre-left thinktank Institute for Public Policy Research, urged the British government in order to give green vehicle users some advantages which include free access to car parks, toll roads and congestion charge zones, suggesting a green badge giving such access such as the blue badge for disabled drivers.

Next week, the European Parliament is expected to approve measures to encourage electric car and low-carbon vehicle production and hence electric cars should be given a further boost in sales.
