In an effort to become the most sustainable city in Canada, Sustainable Kingston held it’s 2nd annual community forum – an event aimed at encouraging dialogue between residence and businesses about efforts for sustainability.

” Unless we are all on the same understanding and identify priorities moving forward then we are not really responding to what the community needs.”

The purpose of exchanging ideas was to help the board of directors of Sustainable Kingston develop an action plan on how to facilitate improvement for the future.

Davis

“Sustainable Kingston itself is not going to be the one to do all the sustainability. But it is the one that’s going to initiate dialogue and liaison with groups and individuals and organizations to help them to become more sustainable and to put those businesses to help each other to be more sustainable.”

An expert on prosperous communities, Gord Humes says Kingston is on it’s way.
