Time for a Plugless Power update!

With production just around the corner, Evatran is busy ramping up to sell the world’s first wireless charging system available to individual EV owners

We know we’ve been quiet the last few months – but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! Evatran is just a couple of months away from launching its Plugless Power wireless charging system to Nissan LEAF and Chevy Volt owners. Final preparations include planning our upcoming marketing launch, pushing forward with our safety certifications, and reviewing distribution and installation procedures. We’re also busy working on OEM projects, perfecting our next generation technology features, and investigating future applications of our technology.
Production Preparations

This month we’ll start installing our first production systems with commercial trial partners in the second phase of our Apollo Program. Over 25 systems are being installed in a variety of environments across the country including indoor, outdoor, garage, parking lot, warm and cold climates. After about six weeks of final testing to make sure we’ve got everything just right, we’ll begin installing the product with individual LEAF and Volt owners. We’ll start accepting orders in April for shipment in May, so look out for an email from us on how to place your order. In-home installation services will be offered by our distribution partner, Bosch Service Solutions, so you can have the system installed in your garage AND in your car without leaving home. Also watch out for news from us on a few upcoming marketing launch events across the country. These are still under wraps – but you’ll be the first to know when things are set to “go live.”
Technology Developments

Based on feedback from automotive manufacturers and trial partners, Evatran has invested considerable time in the past year developing next generation user features. We’ve got to say – it’s pretty incredible to watch enough power to run your clothes dryer (3.3kW) transfer across thin air! But, we know it’s worthless without a simple and convenient user experience. Our advances have enabled important safety interlocks, optimal parking alignment, and positioning guidance. Since putting these innovations in front of users, we’ve received some pretty positive feedback on the direction we’re going. We look forward to sharing these advancements with you in the coming months.
Company Updates

We’ve opened up our production facility in Wytheville, Virginia and plan to begin hiring production employees in the next few weeks. We’ve also made some significant hires in the past couple of months. We’ve welcomed Wade Kinsman, our Materials Coordinator out of our manufacturing facility in Wytheville, and we’ve hired Nathan Richards, our Controller, to manage the Company’s finances. We’ve also recently extended offers to two additional candidates – one for our Engineering team and one for our Wytheville office.

Please let us know if you have questions for next month’s email update and also remember that we post daily news on our social media pages (see links below).
As always, thank you for your support and CHARGE ON!
