State’s First Electric Car ‘Fast Charger’ Arrives In Northern Colorado

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – A first-of-its-kind partnership in Northern Colorado will make it easier to charge electric cars.

The Electrification Coalition, along with the cities of Fort Collins and Loveland, held a groundbreaking for a new charging station on Monday. The station is the first DC “fast charger” for electric vehicles available in Colorado.

The station is located at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery at 408 Mason Court, and it will be ready for public use soon.

The effort is part of a new initiative called Drive Electric Northern Colorado, and the goal is getting more people and businesses into electric vehicles.
