Forest Grove electric vehicle charging stations finish first year with more than 70 charges |

This spring, the City of Forest Grove will likely acquire the deeds of six electric vehicle charging stations installed about a year ago as part of a largely grant-funded pilot project in the area.
The city currently has eight charging locations for plug-in electric vehicles, including the six within the pilot project. These stations have seen about 72 individual uses, totaling nearly 300 kWh (kilowatt hours) of energy consumption, since February 2012.

The six initial stations are placed in three pairs: one in the parking lot near the Community Auditorium, another on College Way near McCormick Hall and the third in the parking lot behind Forest Theater.

The city added two additional charging stations behind the Light and Power building in August. All of the stations are part of the Blink network for electric vehicle charging.
