2013 Toyota RAV4 EV – A Rare Beast Worth Hunting | The Eagle’s Rant

So electric vehicles are finally starting to become more commonplace. Well, this isn’t always strictly true as despite being available in the United States, certain modelsaren’t available everywhere all at once. On this particular occasion I’m referring to the new 2013 RAV4 EV from Toyota. At the moment you can get hold of one quite readily if you live in California, but start to move eastwards and they disappear. As a result there’s only so much I can tell you about the new model.
As with all electric cars, the most crucial value is usually how far you can drive the thing before it stops. TheToyota RAV4 EV has a driving range of just over a hundred miles which really isn’t too bad. The vehicle itself is pretty roomy although for its size one would probably expect a little bit more power at the wheels; the RAV4 EV gives you around a hundred and fifty-four horsepower which, frankly, doesn’t seem very much. The suspension does provide for a smooth ride which makes it a comfortable, if a little wussy, ride.
