Nissan Leaf to become lowest-priced five-seat electric car after new price cut

After disappointing sales growth of its all-electric Leaf sedan, Nissan announced Monday that it would cut the car’s price by about $6,000, bringing the price as low as $18,800, depending on local credits. “Now, customers won’t have to pay a premium for owning a green car that’s really fun to drive, and that’s exciting,” said Nissan’s global vice president for Leaf sales, Billy Hayes.
