Ford Fusion Energi Plug-in Hybrid Giving the Toyota Prius Plugin a Run for the Money

Recently voted as the “Green Car of the Year“, the upcoming 2013 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid has been rated at an EPA-estimate of 108 MPGe city, and 92 MPGe highway, leading to a combined fuel efficiency of 100 MPGe. These numbers allow the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi to top those of the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid by 5 MPGe (city), thereby allowing Ford to top Toyota’s efficiency numbers in every segment that both brands compete in. Customers will meanwhile find that the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi will also come equipped with a now-standard set of Ford-patented hybrid technologies that include MyFord Mobile, Eco cruise, EV mode button, regenerative braking, hybrid transmission and advanced lithium-ion batteries.
