USA: Oregon’s Electric Car Charging Network Expanding

Oregon’s electric car charging network is expanding. By next year, gas-free travelers should be able to make it from Bend to Portland.

Outside of Portland, there are over 70 electric car charging stations along the I-5 corridor. And there are several charging stations in Bend. The state recently opened a station in Sisters, but, beyond that, there isn’t much connecting Western and Central Oregon.

The Bend Bulletin reports that most electric vehicles can go about 100 miles between charges but, to have a practical charging network, stations are needed every 50 miles.
