Japan/Europe: Peugeot partners with Mitsubishi for new EV van

Peugeot is to release a new Partner electric van in mid 2013, having already released an restyled Partner combustion model earlier this year.
The French brand’s new electric van is born from a partnership with Mitsubishi; the same partnership which saw the creation of the i-MiEV-based electric car called the iON.

Available in two lengths (L1: 4.38 m and L2: 4.63 m), Partner Electrique offers the largest load volumes in the small van segment despite fitting in an electric drivetrain. There is a load volume of up to 3.3 m3 for L1 and 3.7 m3 for L2 with a payload of up to 685kg.
The Partner Electrique is equipped with two lithium ion battery packs for a capacity of 22.5 kWh and includes a compact, high performance 49 kW electric motor, capable of delivering 200 Nm, available instantly.
