It’s one thing to say you go to a cool school, and another thing to be able to prove it. The University of California Davis has been recognized by Sierra magazine as the nation’s “Coolest School” for its sustainability efforts.
The Sierra Club publication picked UC Davis as No. 1 out of 96 schools studied because of its green purchasing standards, diverting trash from landfills and for its transportation system, according to a news release.\
“At UC Davis, sustainability is one of our core values,” Chancellor Linda Katehi said in a news release. “I am very proud of the students, faculty and staff who have worked so hard to make this achievement possible and to invest in a more sustainable future for our campus.
