August 18, 2012 10am – noon at HP Cupertino, Building 48, Oak Room.
19483 Pruneridge Ave, Cupertino near 280 and Wolfe Road
* Guest Speaker: Ken Chiang, EV Enthusiast
Ken spent 3 years converting a 1986 Toyota MR2 to electric, finishing last July.
After driving the car for the past year he decided that he wanted to do
something to convince people of the financial bennefits of an EV so he created a
web site for that purpose. The site is evclub.org which is a place to track your
EV usage to help the world see just how much of a difference EVs are
contributing to a cleaner world.
He will talk about the EV Club web site and some of his experiences converting
the MR2. Should be an interesting discussion on both topics.
IMPORTANT: This meeting will also include discussion of the logistics for our EV
Rally in September so please attend if you are interested in helping. We need
lots of volunteers to make our 40th EV Rally a success. Thanks!
