Europe: Nissan Leaf electric vehicle Europe The Big Turn On campaign sees Dutch town Linschoten win

Dutch town Linschoten has been named as the most ‘switched on’ town in Europe. This is a result of a number of people pledging to support electric driving, during Nissan’s go green campaign ‘The Big Turn On’. In recognition of the support for this campaign, Nissan will be donating a number of quick charging stations to promote zero emission driving. These chargers will allow batteries with CHAdeMO standards to be charged to 80% within a span of 30 minutes.
This campaign was such a hit that 1 million clicks were registered well before the targeted date. The campaign aims to promote electric vehicle driving and influence people to do so while at the same time clearing doubts in the minds of people regarding usage of these vehicles.
