E.ON develops network of electric charging stations by Lake Balaton

“Siófok, Fonyód, Keszthely, Balatonfüred and Székes-fehérvár have passed the test: these five towns now offer charging stations on the e-Balaton route,” Eric Depluet, CEO of E.ON Hungaria Zrt., said this week. The first network of electric charging stations on the e-Balaton route was successfully tested in mid-July during a competition of skill featuring participants from television talent show Megasztar.
“The current trends show the crude oil price is continuing to rise, which means electrically driven solutions are increasingly coming into focus across the world,” Depluet said at a press conference afterward. Although Hungary is still nowhere near to, say, Germany when it comes to the speed of developing the infrastructure for e-mobility, it is making good progress, he said
