USA: nergy Conservation Fair

The 12th Annual Lawrence Energy Conservation Fair and Sustainable Homes Tour will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the City of Lawrence Community Building, 115 W. 11th Street.

Hosted by the City of Lawrence Waste Reduction and Recycling Division, the Lawrence Energy Conservation Fair provides an opportunity for energy efficiency and conservation organizations to reach the Lawrence market in a trade show setting. This event has grown to attract more than 800 attendees who enjoy learning from a variety of exhibitors including builders, architects, insulation experts, heating and cooling contractors, government agencies, non-profits and alternative fuel vehicle representatives.

Exhibitors & Sponsors
If you would like to be an exhibitor and/or sponsor at the 2012 Energy Conservation Fair, please read the participation guidelines and then fill out the online exhibitor/sponsor registration form. Note that all requests for exhibit space are filled on a first come, first serve basis according to arrival of completed registration and exhibitor fee payment (when applicable).

Exhibitor deadline is Monday, August 27th.
The exhibitor fee is $100 if registration and payment occurs on or before Monday, August 27th, and $125 for all late registrations. Fee waived for all government agencies and 501c3 Charitable Organizations. Fee is included in all sponsorship levels.

Sponsorship Levels
• Sponsor at $1,000 and receive exhibit space, logo placement in city-wide utility bill insert, all other advertising, posters and a banner to be displayed at the Fair.
(Registration deadline: 5:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2012.)
• Sponsor at $500 and receive exhibit space and logo or name placement in advertising and posters associated with the Fair. (Registration deadline: Monday, Aug 13, 2012.)
Benefits of being a sponsor for this year’s Fair include advertising exposure as an environmentally conscious business or program and marketing your specifically tailored goods or services to Lawrence and neighboring community residents and businesses to educate them regarding your particular message or expertise.

Presentations, Demonstrations & Workshops
If you would like to be a speaker or provide a demonstration or workshop at the 2012 Energy Conservation Fair, please read the participation guidelines and then fill out the online speaker/demonstration/workshop application form. Note that all speakers, demonstrations and workshops will be chosen from the online applications based on topic.
Application deadline is Monday, August 27th.

Lawrence Sustainable Homes Tour
The Lawrence Sustainable Homes Tour will occur on Saturday, September 22nd in conjunction with the Lawrence Energy Conservation Fair. As a part of the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour, the primary purpose of this tour is education. The focus is energy-saving techniques and sustainability through building design, efficient appliances, and use of green materials during remodeling. The tour also provides helpful, real-world examples of costs and how to save money with federal, state, and local incentives.

Homeowners and businesses interested in having their building featured in the 2012 Sustainable Homes Tour can fill out the online Sustainable Homes Tour application form. Please note, space on the tour is limited: preference will be given to prompt, appropriate and complete entries received for buildings located within Lawrence City Limits.

Sustainable Homes Tour Application deadline is Monday, August 13th.
