USA: Fwd: Last Call – Buy a brand new freeway capable EV for under $15K

Congratulations to all of you who have already taken advantage of this great deal.
There are still a few cars left, but you need to act quickly to get one.
The third truckload of 2011 Th!nk EVs has been delivered to Mission Valley Ford in San Jose, however unless they are sold and registered by June 22nd, any remaining cars will have to go back to the manufacturer.

Why is this?
It turns out that the great price reduction is due in part to the ability of Th!nk North America to sell the ZEV credits issued by CARB for electric vehicles sold in California. Other manufacturers are willing to buy those credits instead of making EVs of their own. However the deadline for getting those credits is the end of June and it takes a few days for the paperwork to go through.

In order for Th!nk to get the credits, the cars need to be sold and registered by June 22nd. It also takes a few days for the registration to occur due to the use of a third party called Road Ready Registration who is handling that part of the transaction. So there is not much time left to get in on the huge savings. If the cars are not sold in California, they will be sent to other states where ZEV credits can still be obtained.

The sticker price on these cars was over $36K, however they are being sold for $22.3K while supplies last. By the time you pay the registration fee, sales tax, etc. the total is just under $25K. These cars qualify for the $2500 CA state rebate and the $7500 Federal Tax Credit. This can bring your final cost to under $15K if you can take full advantage of the Federal Tax Credit. These cars are also eligible for the white carpool lane stickers. There is a 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty and service is available at a shop in Santa Clara.

So how do you take advantage of this deal?
Easy – just call Tom DieBold at Mission Valley Ford and let him know you want to take a test drive. If you like the car, you can put down a refundable deposit while you arrange financing and insurance. Tom can give you information on where to get financing and insurance if you don’t already know who to contact. A check for the entire amount is paid directly to Th!nk and a separate check is paid for the registration. In a few days, the CA license plates arrive and away you go. It’s that simple.

The cars are being sold directly by the manufacturer. The Ford dealership is merely acting as the delivery agent.
The dealership is closed on Sundays. Hours are 8 AM to 6 PM Monday – Friday and 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday.
They are located next door to the big Fry’s Electronics store at Freeway 880 and Brokaw Road.

Here is the contact information:

If you want more info on the car and the deal, here is a link to an article I wrote previously that describes it all:

As a special bonus, Bob Garzee has arranged for Th!nk North America to donate $350 to Breathe California for every car sold.

Don’t miss this chance to get an EV that can go 70 MPH with the same range as a Nissan LEAF for a very affordable price.
