PowerStream & Nissan to Hold First Canadian Demonstration Featuring “Vehicle-To-Home” Power Supply Technology

PowerStream and Nissan Canada will be demonstrating, for the first time in Canada, the ‘vehicle-to-home” (V2H) power supply technology developed by the Nissan Motor Company. When this technology is available commercially, it will help Ontario homeowners on time-of-use (TOU) rates, who own a Nissan LEAF™ 100% electric vehicle, to better manage their electricity costs through load shifting as well as by providing a back-up power source for homes during an outage.

In addition to VIPs and special guests that will be in attendance, there will also be Nissan product specialists on hand to answer questions on this new technology.

WHO: Parliamentary Assistant to Minister of Economic Development and Innovation, Monte Kwinter; PowerStream Board Chair and Town of Markham, Mayor, Frank Scarpitti; President of Nissan Canada, Allen Childs, Georgian College President and CEO, Brian Tamblyn as well as the President and CEO of PowerStream, Brian Bentz, will be participating in the official proceedings.

WHEN: Friday, June 1, 2012, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: Georgian College Auto Show (PowerStream Booth)
