Infiniti to Offer Wireless Charger

Infiniti has officially announced that its much-anticipated LE Concept will be in showrooms within two years. While the car is approximately the same size as the company’s G sedan, this newer version has more in common with the Essence, a 2009 incarnation from Infiniti. This is Infiniti’s debut all-electric vehicle. Infiniti is a brand of Nissan, maker of the electric Leaf. A concept version of the car was on display at the New York Auto Show earlier this year, when company spokespersons indicated that many of the features on the concept would also be on production models.
With artistic, but functional, appointments like LED lighting all around, an aero side fin, and integrated illumination, perhaps the car’s fanciest add-on is the inductive charger, which is located just beneath the rear diffuser. The wireless charger is a rarity on even top-level electric cars produced today, though the technology is catching on quickly based upon its popularity in many concept cars.
