AUBURN HILLS, MI – Chrysler has delivered four plug-in hybrid Chrysler Town & Country Minivans to the City of Auburn Hills. These vehicles, out of a total of 25, are part of a two-year demonstration project that’s a partnership between Chrysler Group and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). According to Chrysler, the automaker is investing $15.8 million in the project and the DOE is investing $10 million.
Chrysler said Auburn Hills will test the Chrysler-owned vehicles, evaluating everyday city and highway driving. The automaker said City staff selected to evaluate the vehicles will regularly report all driving and charging experiences to Chrysler.
