Europe: Siemens take delivery of Nissan Leaf additions

UK-based fleet leasing company, Lex Autolease, has delivered five Nissan LEAFs to global engineering and technology giant Siemens. This initiative is part of Siemens’ overall corporate approach to sustainability, which includes the introduction of low carbon transport.

The first electric vehicles (EVs) on its UK fleet will be used in Lincoln by employees making trips between the company’s sites and the University of Lincoln Engineering Hub. Siemens has also installed its own advanced high power recharging points at its main gas turbine manufacturing facility in Lincoln.

Mark Bonnor-Moris, head of Electromobility UK and Ireland at Siemens, said: ‘For Siemens, having a wide range of vehicle types is important. We look forward to working with vehicle manufacturers and to increasing the number and range of electric vehicles in our fleet.
