Tom Saxton has degrees in math and physics and works as a software design engineer. He has been an electric vehicle supporter since 2006 and an owner since 2008. He is actively involved with the broad electric vehicle community, from showing the practicality of a 2002 Toyota RAV4-EV at grocery stores to demonstrating the performance of a Tesla Roadster at drag race tracks.

Chad Schwitters is a former mobile software executive and technology evangelist. He and his wife both drive electric vehicles powered by the wind and solar; they also have a plug-in hybrid that their college-age children share. He organizes events for the Seattle Electric Vehicle Association and spends a great deal of time speaking to the public about electric cars.

Plug In America is a coalition of plug-in vehicle drivers and advocates of energy independence and clean air. Our Mission is to accelerate the shift to plug-in vehicles powered by clean, affordable, domestic electricity to reduce our nation’s dependence on petroleum, use our fuel dollars to support domestic jobs, and improve the global environment.
