Culham firm develops battery for Cybergo driverless bus
Advertisement26 January 2012 Last updated at 14:57 ET Help An Oxfordshire company has developed a battery to power a public transport vehicle that is able to drive itself.
Cybergo uses a combination of GPS, lasers and cameras to navigate without the aid of a driver.
OXIS Energy in Culham has made the rechargeable lithium battery which replaces the standard combustion engine in the small bus.
Huw Hampson-Jones from the company said if the Cybergo was a success it would create new jobs at its Oxfordshire facility.
