USA: Bill Ford: 25% of Ford’s fleet will be electric by 2020

Dearborn, Michigan based Ford Motor Company will be introducing a full electric Focus along with two versions – a plug-in hybrid and a full-electric -of its new C-MAX minivan later this year. But the company has no plans to stop electrifying there.

In an article he wrote for Fortune magazine, FoMoCo Chairman Bill Ford said that about 25 percent of the company’s fleet will be electrified by 2020. Ford said that it is critical for automakers to build smaller and cleaner cars as global oil prices increase and more congestion appears on our roads.
