USA: Malloy to unveil electric vehicle charging station in Hartford this week

HARTFORD — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will join The Hartford’s CEO Liam McGee to unveil electric vehicle charging stations at The Hartford’s headquarters and participate in a ceremonial first charge of an employee’s electric vehicle at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6.
The Hartford is one of the first companies in the Hartford area to provide charging stations for its employees. Malloy and McGee will celebrate this milestone with Hartford employees and affirm their commitment to improving the environment.
Norwalk has electric vehicle charging stations at the South Norwalk train statino.
The Hartford’s Headquarters are at 690 Asylum Ave. in Hartford.
With an estimated 27,000 electric vehicles hitting the roads in 2011, The Hartford installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its campuses in Hartford, Simsbury and Windsor, Conn. for employees and visitors seeking more efficient commuting options.

    We’re beyond being impressed by a charging station, especially if it’s so unusal that it attracts the Governor. The missing info here is : what kind of charging is provided? Level1, level2 level 3?
    Only AC or direct current also?
    Telling me its a charging station doesn’t tell me anything.
