This soon-to-debut Fisker Karma, a plug-in hybrid, is among the 500 new cars that will be on display at the San Diego International Auto Show , which opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and Sunday.

Organizers expect about 800,000 visitors over the run of the show at the San Diego Convention Center.
