An electric vehicle charging system for apartment buildings in Japan has gone on sale today.
Japan Delivery System Corporation (JDS) and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation jointly developed the i-CHARGER which powers everything in an electric vehicle, from its engine to its car bulbs and windscreen wiper blades.
The i-CHARGER’s ‘delivery box’ can manage how much electricity is used and can regulate who uses it and when it is used, allowing apartment complex supervisors to charge the correct tenant with the electricity fees.
