Nissan is a name many do not equate with alternative drive systems, like Toyota is with it’s Prius Hybrid or Tesla with its all electric roadster. However, Nissan has access to hybrid technology, they have a laudable entry with it’s Altima hybrid.
But in Bear Mountain State Park in upstate New York Nissan has been testing its new all electric technology. The platform of choice for the test car is the funky Nissan Cube, however Nissan may not use that particular platform.
The electric drive system is being designed for flexibility and practicality, the idea is a vehicle that can be used in everyday situations such as highway speeds, bumper to bumper traffic, the ability to have electric accessories that consumers are used to such as A/C and have a comfortable travel margin of 100 miles per charge.
