The Ford Fiesta is expected to hit showroom floors in late 2010. While Ford hasn’t used the latest green technology, they are hoping with this smaller and more fuel efficient compact will be a hit. Prices will range from only $15,500 to $20,000.
The Chevrolet Volt is also expected in late 2010. This vehicle is a first! It will be equipped with an extended range electric or E-REV to power it along the road. While the Volt is an electric car, it does use some gasoline to to lengthen driving time. The Volt doesn’t come cheap at $40,000.
The Nissan EV-02 won’t hit showroom floors in until 2012. The EV-02 is totally electric and uses no gas at all. Product testers say the drivetrain is really quiet and they loved the interior accessories. Nissan may change the name of the EV-02 before its release but it’s price will be geared toward the green family on a budget.
