Manufacturers should produce physical battery standards, so that battery pack replacement is a matter of course, not a reason to buy a whole new car. Electric chassis will last longer than IC in the first place, and battery tech will contiue to improve.

Sanyo is working on a standard. I suppose
eventually we’ll have 2 or 3 standards globally
and eventually one will dominate the market.

ICE will be phased out eventually as battery
get cheaper and better, while EV will run our
    transportation sectors globally.
